Malcolm King is now officially "Scotland's Best Elvis". After competing in the contest organized by the Official Elvis Presley Fan Club of Great Britain, Malcolm was voted the winner after thrilling the audience with three outstanding performances.
Taking to the stage, his first song was the challenging Just Pretend. A firm favorite with Elvis fans, his strong vocal and masterful stage presence seen him coast through as the judging panel placed him in the top three and a place in the final. All three finalists would have to return to the stage and perform for a second time. On this occasion, it was the audience who would be voting. Considering the vast majority in attendance were Elvis Fan Club members, Malcolm knew that this song would have to impress, so he decided on You Gave Me A Mountain. Another stunning performance left the result in no doubt, the votes were counted and Malcolm was declared the winner. An emotional version of the classic Bridge over Troubled Water had the audience on their feet as Malcolm left the stage to thunderous applause and digital cameras flashing, it really was
apparent that for this adoring audience, Elvis has never left the building - and the legacy lives on!

Malcolm will now travel to Memphis to perform live at the world-famous Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee, in front of an audience of around 800 fans on January 8 2010 – Elvis' 75th birthday.
